Hosting an author or an illustrator at your school is a great way to encourage students to pursue their own dreams and become excited about reading, writing, and art. It’s a win-win-win!

Steve and Christine use creative writing and illustration activities, practical writing tips, behind the scenes of book publishing- including cover design, and more to get students excited about books, art, and following their own dreams.

Fundraising Opportunity

*Books sold at a discounted rate for groups, classrooms, libraries ($15 per paperback book)
*$5 from every purchase will be donated back to the group, classroom, or library

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the presentation?

We can offer presentations and workshops from 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the age of the students and the content of the presentation.

We love sharing our writing and art passion with learners of all ages and are happy to collaborate with the school/teacher/event coordinator to tailor a presentation or workshop that will be perfect for your particular audience.

What is included in the author/artist visit?

*30-60-minute presentation including activities, book reading, behind the scenes, tips, and Q&A session.
*Handouts for students and teachers, including future lesson plans and ideas
*Poster to hang in the classroom/library
*Copy of the book(s) featured during the visit
*Opportunity for students and the school/event coordinator to purchase signed books and merchandise

How much will the visit cost?

*Our base honorarium is $200. FREE within 2 hours of Knoxville, TN.
*Depending on the location of the school/event travel expenses may be required as well.
*If cost is a prohibitive factor for your school/event, please reach out as we are willing to make other arrangements!
